Andrey Klassen Biography

Personal information activity: Andrei Klassen was born on January 14 of the year in the small mining town of Sarani under Karaganda in the family of exiled Germans. His father, Abram Abramovich Klassen, was born in one of the German villages of the Altai Territory, mother, Maria Genrikhovna Vibe, was born in Ukraine. Parents perfectly owned musical instruments. Father was a self-taught button accordion.

He brought his self-education to such perfection that he had been a nasal button accordion as an incompetent button accordion in the Saransk House of Culture. Without his participation, not a single musical event was held in the city. His students entered the school, and then to the conservatory. Mother played a seven -string guitar and had a magnificent voice. Having not received the proper education, which was associated with the difficulties of pre -war time and the disabilities of the people of German nationality during the war and in the post -war period, they set their goal to give their children a musical education, which after the removal of the commandant’s office in the year of restrictions on the German movements in the country became possible.

The daughters Elena and Elizabeth were educated at a music school and at a music school and teach piano in Germany. Anna's older sister has a magnificent voice from birth. Having not received musical education, she nevertheless connected her life with music. Andrei Klassen graduated that year the Temirtau Musical School and in that Novosibirsk State Conservatory named after Glinka in the piano class.

At the conservatory, he studied with Mark Aronovich Shaviner. Back in his student years, Andrei Klassen began his concert activity at the school and in the conservatory. His most successful performances during the training period include the first sheet concert with the symphony orchestra of the school under the direction of the wonderful musician, the director of the school Georgy Georgievich Kleiman and the Mozart G-DUR concert with the Symphony Orchestra of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic, led by Arnold Mikhailovich Katz.

After filling in the first year in the first winter sessions, the party’s history exam with this subject did not take very seriously, spending most of his time behind the instrument, he lost his degree and had to think about possible earnings in order to be able to continue their studies, since the parents were not able to fully pay for its maintenance. Thus, he joined the Great Hall of the Conservatory and worked there for a year by a dressing room and a converge.

This not quite creative activity gave him free access to the conservatory concert hall, where he always had the opportunity to engage in the lobby on the piano, or secretly late evenings or at night on a concert piano or organ. A long -term concertmaster practice, first at the school for choral conductors, and then at the conservatory among choral conductors and vocalists, gave Andrei Klassen a sense of partner, understanding of the physiology of voice, the ability to react to the gesture of the conductor, which helped him a lot in his further musical activity as an accompanist and choral conductor.

After the end of the conservatory and the birth of his first son, he was drafted into the army and traveled all of Siberia and the Altai Territory with the song and dance ensemble, where he sang in the choir and accompanied the violinist ensemble. The desire to improve their piano-pedagogical skills and to continue his education in graduate school led him that year to the piano department of the Institute of Arts in Vladivostok.

Having worked there for a year, he returned to Novosibirsk, which was connected with the birth of his second son and with a change in life plans, and took up children's piano pedagogy in a music school.

The last two years before leaving for Germany, he spent at various concert venues in Novosibirsk and the region, working as a concertmaster in the concert department of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic. It should be noted here that in those years in Russia it was impossible for the musician to live and feed his family for one salary, so Andrei Klassen, in addition.
