Parsley Ambrosia Biography
The center of attention in the group was the owner of a velvety enveloping voice and just a pretty person Ambrosia Parsley. The girl was born in a musical family, and her father and brothers often took up guitars to make some of the country classics.
However, the grandmother, who played on a UKULEL and at the age of 70, actively performed at city venues, inspired. Little Parsley gave her first concert at the age of seven, appearing in the company of the ensemble of Bandzhist pensioners, and at thirteen the girl left her father’s house and went to travel around the country, earning a living with music, more precisely by the performance of pop standards.
Ambrosia and Duke have already composed songs together when Danny McGaf, a keyboard player Danny McGaf, was drawn on the horizon. He appeared at one of the parties where Parley performed, and spoke a bunch of compliments about her music. Danny himself, like Duke, also turned out to be from the breed of sessioners and at that time accompanied Tom Waits, but at the end of the tour promised to return.
McGaf restrained his word, and upon his return, the trio began to create under the brand "Junebug". Soon, however, it turned out that such a name was busy, and the ensemble switched to a more intricate name "Shivaree", which meant a comic serenade for the newlyweds. Of the 12 songs, the most memorable was the "Goodnight Moon", for which it was used in a number of sound paths, including the second part of the Tarantino film "Kill Bill".
Lovers of Americans and Alt Kantry Album liked it, but Billboard did not get into the charts. The next few years, "Shivaree" lived in a touring life, and the group was more warmly accepted in European countries than at home. Due to the latter circumstances, the second full -length label did not publish in America, and the release of the "Roun Dreams" took place only in the old world. The album differed from the firstborn with carefully polished sound and activation of electronics.
The influence of al-Kantri here decreased markedly, and Ambrosia with its partners jumped from a techno-file to jazz-sul and du-Op. They also noted the influences of Bjork and Nick Kave, and from the previous minion to the album, the Fat Lady of Limbourg track was migrated to the album. At the fourth full-length, the group generally abandoned the original material and converted to its Dark-Kabaresh-Lada things from such different performers as Ledbelli and Gary Gitter, Motley Crue and Michael Jackson.
