Biography of Nikolai Malomuzha

By the end of the service, Malomuzh receives the title of senior sergeant and gratitude for the completion of the command of the command according to some information, his battalion participated in the fighting in one of the African countries for some time. After serving in the army, he was demobilized and entered the law faculty of Kyiv University. Teachers and former classmates characterize him as an extremely capable lawyer who could claim scientific activity.

However, the fate of Malomuja did not give a scientist and the legal scientist. Immediately after graduation, Malomuzh receives an offer to work in foreign intelligence bodies and in the mid -eighties his career of a personnel intelligence officer begins. Of course, such a proposal was led to a legal education, free knowledge of two foreign languages, the past army service in special forces and developed communicative communication skills, so necessary for successful intelligence and, first of all, intelligence work.

However, it is worth noting that all his further activities are connected with Ukrainian intelligence, in which he now has a reputation as one of the most powerful professionals.

Some persons claim that then he managed to get a number of important foreign sources, some of which, still have not lost their significance. Today it is alleged that this file cabinet has become the basis for the start of the reconnaissance of already independent Ukraine not from scratch, but on the basis of a well -chosen, professional foreign agent apparatus.

The Security Service of Ukraine since the beginning of the 10ths began to work through the opposition to international terrorist organizations through intelligence channels. According to information received from sources in the SBU, Malomuzh even managed to carry out several successful operations. One of these operations was a large -scale “game” that made it possible to obtain and implement concrete information about the intention of one of the Islamist terrorist organizations to create a base in Ukraine, with which activities should have been carried out on the European Union countries.

Times changed, people changed. With his arrival, the activities of Ukrainian intelligence acquires a direction characterized in jurisprudence as anti-legal. Smeshko pushes to third -party positions the most professional personnel from among the scouts - professionals and fills intelligence with its "Praetorians" from the GUR of the Ministry of Defense. Personnel cleaning began. Further assessments in the activities of the SBU as a whole, and intelligence in particular diverge.

In connection with political events in Ukraine, versions that the SBU during the years of the presidency of Leonid Kuchma turned into an opposition suppression body began to be put forward in Ukraine. Naturally, the most active and strict special operations were carried out against the SBU against the leader of the opposition Viktor Yushchenko, for which all available opportunities were involved as much as possible, including through foreign intelligence.

The role of the smallness in these events, or rather his personal view and political beliefs, are not defined to the end. Yushchenko and the new power of Malomozh were originally among the immigrants from the “island” in Ukraine are called the employees of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The management building is located on the island on the Dnieper River under suspicion, as it was not part of Kuchma, close to Kuchma’s policy.

But the leadership of the SBU could not get rid of it for one reason. Several important foreign sources were closed personally to Malomozha and the use of them with someone else was problematic. These sources were absolutely necessary for one operation, personally sent personally against Viktor Yushchenko. However, these facts remain not verified. Malomuzh simply fell into disgrace.

The consequences were not slow to affect - and this is a historical fact - a few days before the publication of the presidential decree on the appointment of Malomuzh, an accident occurs with him. After the victory of Viktor Yushchenko in the presidential election of the year, the recent disgraced general becomes a freelance adviser to the president and his further appointment to the SVR looks a more logical step than the unprofitable.

A factor that probably also played a role in the appointment was that the Malomuzh did not belong to any of the power groups and financial and political groups of that period. In this position of an adviser, Malomozh submits to the president the concept of reforming the SVR of Ukraine developed by him, in order to increase the effectiveness of its activities.Probably, the appointment of a small department by the head of this department can be considered an indicator that this concept was recognized as the president of the most optimal and relevant to national interests.

Personnel and intelligence The appointment of the Malomuzh was positively perceived by personnel employees of the SVR, who considered that with its increase, there was hope to create a world -class special service that would not be engaged in politics, but protecting national interests. The first steps of the Malomuzha in the “Forest” are called the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, the building is located in densely wooded areas removal from the work of a number of employees, regarding which there was reliable information about their operations violating the law, the investigation of their activities was launched.
