From a family of peasants. Having learned the non -native Latvian language, he was educated in Kaibal incomplete high school. At the School of Mechanization of Agriculture, he acquired the specialty of the engineer-tractor driver and continued to work on it on the Lichplesis Lievard collective farm, from the first years of collectivization in which the senior Lipan ones worked.
The first chairman of the collective farm board was the talented organizer of the collective farm production E. Kaulins, who led the economy from the day of founding to a year and who made a great contribution to its formation and strengthening. By the beginning of the 10ths, it was an advanced high -intensity farm specializing in the production of milk, meat, vegetables.
So, in the year from each hectare of agricultural land of the collective farm, an average of 42.2 centners of grain was obtained, a centner of the collective farm, and the average milking from each forage cow was a kilogram of milk. He lived in the city of Lielvard, the center of the Lievard Territory of Latvia.
